We are proud to announce that the IDS Secure Office Print Ecosystem (SOPE) program has won the 2019 In-Plant Print and Mail Association's (IPMA) Innovation Award (IPMA's Press Release). Being recognized as one of the best on the national level among other government and private sector print and mail organizations is an elite accomplishment for a government in-plant.

Teddy Abad-Perez, SOPE program manager, has done an incredible job by partnering with OIT and taking the almost extinct Copier Program to new levels since he took over the program in 2009. In 2014, with the Governor's Greening Initiative and to better serve executive agency customers, four initiatives were agreed on amongst the teams which has created even more success for SOPE and the State of Colorado overall, today and into the future. The four initiatives in focus included create a centralized MFP program, standardize printers, work with IT to provide network security software for all printers, and manage print service solutions. IDS accepted the official award at the Awards Banquet during the IPMA Educational Conference, June 2-6, 2019, in Louisville, KY.
