To protect State personnel and assets from incoming mail threats, IDS, upon request, can pick up mail from the United States Postal Service® (USPS) or received from private couriers such as UPS® and FedEx®, and security screen each package before being delivered. If any hazards are detected, IDS will alert the appropriate state, local, or federal authorities and collaborate to rectify the problem.
